Quote of the Day: Family

What?? Two posts in one day???

This quote is from one of my favorite t.v. shows, Supernatural. It’s basically the theme of the show, and so it is said by pretty much every recurring character.

“Family don’t end in blood.”

This really hits home for me. Since I left for college, my friends have become my second family. They mean the world to me, and I am so thankful for each and every one of them. 🙂

Quote of the Day: ‘Us’ and ‘Them’

So, I’ve kinda been on a John Green/Nerdfighteria kick lately. (possibly caused by rereading TFIOS and also presenting my final speech for my Public Speaking class on Nerdfighteria) But anyway, this quote from John is just great.

“There is no ‘Them’, there are only facets of ‘Us’.”

-John Green

DFTBA my friends.

Quote of the Day: The Fault in Our Stars

Yesterday I reread The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green, in one sitting. If you have read it, you know how I feel right now. If you haven’t, well, I will leave you with two quotes from the book to give you an idea. (But you should totally read the book, just saying.)

“Sometimes you read a book that fills you with this weird evangelical zeal,  and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book.”

And:

“That’s the thing about pain. It demands to be felt.”

John Green is my all time favorite author, and if you haven’t read any of his work, you should stop what you are doing right now and drive to your nearest library or bookstore, get his books and start reading immediately. (Unless it’s snowing, like it is here, in which case just go on Amazon instead.)
